Cheap Trick wants Chicago to want them

Music fans arriving on flights to Chicago will soon have a truly unique venue to explore in “Cheap Trick Chicago.”

On Wednesday, the ’70s superstar band behind hits like “I Want You to Want Me” announced a new museum, music venue, and radio station headquartered in the Windy City’s emerging Record Row district.

In a written statement, the band’s manager said visitors could expect a “one-of-a-kind eatery, unique musical instrument museum, radio station, and performance space” at Cheap Trick Chicago.

The project is part of a larger development plan in Chicago to revitalize the historic Record Row district which at one time played host to nearly 40 recording studios.
