Transportation Security Administration officials say it will debut Wednesday. The much talked about machines are designed to detect nonmetallic weapons and explosives. However some advocacy groups and concerned travelers have come out strongly against the scanners stating they are intrusive and unhealthy. Nearby O'Hare already has scanners installed.
