Budget Boozin' in Vegas

Welcome, Now Don't Blow All Your Cash!

You don’t have to be a high roller to enjoy Las Vegas. Sure, having a little money saved up is always a good thing, but there are plenty of options for those who don’t have the dough to fork out a lavish Las Vegas vacation.

With cheap flights to Las Vegas and cheap hotel rooms, it’s easy to stick to a budget. Even when it comes to drinking. Sure, a tight budget means you won’t be popping bottles at a VIP table (unless you are lucky) in one of the major nightclubs. And, it means you won’t be sitting down to swirl glasses of high-priced wine. But, you can still go out and enjoy one of the most-talked about aspects of Las Vegas – the booze.

There are plenty of places that give you a bang for your buck, and today, we’re going to give you some of the best where you won’t max out your budget, but you will have a good time. And, maybe even get a little buzz.

Here’s three to get you started!

Beauty Bar. On Tuesday nights, this downtown hotspot, located in the hipster Fremont East District, is the place to be. For $5, you get in the doors and into the Nickel F*ing Beer Night. Don’t let the name fool you though. Beers are not a nickel, but a whopping quarter. Head to the bar’s outdoor patio in the back for nearly free (and free-flowing) Hamm’s on tap. You can order as many as you can carry. If you want to have a drink while you’re waiting in line (and the line can get long), stop in the main bar first. It’s $5 for a PBR and a well shot.

The Stratosphere. Located on the North end of The Strip, the Stratosphere has gone to great lengths to bring the crowds back in. It’s $24.99 all-you-can-drink Mojitos and Margaritas from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. nightly do the trick. Take the elevator up to the 108th floor to the Air Bar, and treat yourself to some strong drinks and a great deal. Oh, and the views? Spectacular.

Blue Martini. While you can’t walk to this spot, it’s a quick cab ride down Las Vegas Blvd. or a ride on the Deuce. This bar doubles as a club (without the prices and VIP tables) and offers $3 Modelos and some serious dancing until the wee hours of the morning. Ladies, every Wednesday from 8 p.m. on is Ladies Night where the drinks are half price. There’s a band from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and then a DJ to get the crowd on their toes until 4 a.m. It’s about as night clubby as you can get without actually being in a night club and spending some serious cash.
