The childhood home of the 42nd U.S. president Bill Clinton will become a National Historic Site in 2011. The Hope, Arkansas located home will officially become recognized as a historic site on January 2. 

The two-story home is already is a museum, which is being operated by a non-profit organization. The new title means the tourist attraction will become larger and improvements will be made to the structure. 

Clinton lived in his grandparent's South Hervey Street home until he was 4 1/2 years old and visited every summer until 1957.  After his grandfather passed away, the home was sold.
