Pilot crashed plane into Austin office building

Information is still coming in, but it is believed that the pilot who crashed his small plane into an Austin office building did it intentionally.

Joseph Stack,  a 53-year old software engineer, is believed to have been the only person that died in the Thursday morning crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration claims the pilot did have the plane registered to a post office box in nearby Lincoln, Texas. Stack departed from Lincoln Regional Airport.

The Austin Fire Department believes one person is still missing and two people were hospitalized for minor injuries and burns.

Investigators believe Stack’s plan was to fly into the building and blow up the IRS offices, which is home to almost 200 federal tax employees.
