Gulf Coast to offer another oil relief concert in August

After the success of the July 11th Jimmy Buffett show, the Gulf Coast is planning to offer another oil spill recovery concert to the public.

While the date has not been set, it is expected to happen sometime in the middle of August. With nothing happening at the Gulf Shores in Alabama between August 19 and 24, it is likely the show will take place around that week.

The show, which has not mentioned the performer(s) yet, will be free to the public and BP will foot the $2 million bill.

The idea is to lure travelers to the Gulf region, where they will book hotel rooms, eat at restaurants and spend those much need tourism dollars. Buffett's concert drew 35,000 people to the beach.

The family-friendly event will make further announcements about the show sometime this week.
