American Airlines, Korean Air Get New 737 Aircrafts CheapOair Staff May 25, 2011 general Korean Air's New Airbus A380 American Airlines and Korean Air received new aircrafts today. American Airlines got its first Boeing 737-800. It’s got larger overhead bins that will carry more bags, new interiors as well as LED lighting. The jet has 16 first class seats and 144 Economy. American Airlines will get 15 of these jets in 2011, 28 in 2012 and 11 during 2013. Korean Air was only the sixth airline to get an Airbus A380. It will make its first flight from Seoul to Tokyo in June. It will eventually make long haul flights to North America and Europe at the end of the year. Source: USA Today
