American Airlines and JetBlue Expand Alliance CheapOair Staff November 18, 2010 general American Airlines announced Wednesday plans to expand its partnership with low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways. The alliance, which officially launched last spring, will now offer a shared frequent flier program and additional routes. The routes where both airlines iwll work together include between New York's JFK International Airport and Budapest, Hungary, as well as nine additional domestic routes flown by JetBlue. Customers will be able to book the new roues starting Friday December 10, according to American. When the partnership between the Fort Woth-based and New York-based carriers launched earlier this year, it originally included swapping airport slots and selling tickets on each others flights between New York and Boston.
