Wishing on a Waiver

American Airlines has put its request in with the U.S. Transportation Department to keep its New York-Tokyo route.
The airline is asking the department to waive its “use-it-or-lose-it” clause on the route.
It’s currently suffering from lack of demand.
It restarted July 1st after being suspended in April due to the earthquake and tsunami.
The star-telegram.com report said the American is looking to have the waiver on the route until June  1st of next year.
