Alaska Airlines Offers Free Wi-Fi CheapOair Staff November 19, 2010 general Alaska Airlines announced this week it will offer complimentary Wi-Fi on their planes through December 9. That includes the busy Thanksgiving travel week. Alaska is billing it as "courtesy of the Honda corporation", but we're just happy to see an airline giving some free wireless internet for travelers. Normally Alaska Airlines charges anywhere from $4.95 to $12.95, depending on the length of the flight and the device used. More than 70 percent of Alaska Airlines' Boeing 737 planes are equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi, with the airline planning to offer fleet-wide Wi-Fi by early 2011.
