The Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Tourism released some impressive numbers on Alabama beaches for July.

Alabama’s revenue jumped 34.5 percent from their 2007 numbers to $69.8 million.  In a related matter, retail sales for the month of July finished at $94.8 million, which was a 17.9 percent jump from their 2007 number of $80.4 million.

The overall figure stands at a 22.2 percent improvement for this past July compared to the same month in 2007.

All signs point to the region officially recovered from the BP oil spill that tarnished the shore.

Flights to Alabama no longer come with the doubt about being about to use the white, sandy-beaches.
