AirTran's new Milwaukee Brewers designed airplane

AirTran Airways and Major League Baseball's Milwaukee Brewers debuted a cool new airplane Monday called "Brewers One." The low-cost carrier has been taking great strides in making their presence felt in the Milwaukee market and this unveiling of a blue, gold and white aircraft really shows that they are serious about winning over locals.

During a press conference Monday, Airtran Airways CEO Robert Fornaro said, "This is an example of our commitment to Milwaukee. This plane will help raise the visibility of the Brewers throughout
the United States."

Although a very cool honor, this does not mean that AirTran is the official airline of the Milwaukee Brewers. That title is already taken by the Brew City's own Midwest Airlines.

AirTran signed a multi-year deal with the Brewers, which included naming the outdoor seating area AirTran Airways Landing Zone. The airline donated $50,000 to the YMCA of Greater Milwaukee at today's event.

This is not the first time that the Orlando based airline painted their planes for a sports franchise. Both the NBA's Orlando Magic and NFL's Atlanta Falcons have both had AirTran planes don their team colors in the past.
