AirTran Airways Improves in February

AirTran Airways reported a rise in traffic on Wednesday for February compared to the same month a year ago.

The Orlando-based airline said traffic rose by 2.7 percent.  1.33 billion travelers used AirTran compared to 1.29 billion from last year in February.

The traffic is also an increase up from 1.7 percent recorded in January of 2011.
