Despite the nice statistic however, data provided by the Department of Transportation (DOT) reveals less flights arrived on time compared to 2010. According to the report by MSNBC, the nation’s 16 biggest airlines had an on-time rate of 79.2 percent in March, which is down from 80 percent in March of 2010. March did have a bright side, reporting fewer cancellations, standing at 1.3 percent, down from 1.5 percent in March in 2010. Hawaiian Airlines came in first for flight arrival time punctuality.
