Air Berlin joins oneworld alliance
Low-cost, German carrier, Air Berlin has accepted an invitation to join the oneworld frequent-flier alliance.
With that, the airline becomes the first big low-cost carrier to join one of the three large global airline alliances, Dow Jones says.
The other alliances are the Star Alliances and Sky Team.
Additionally, oneworld states in a press release that Air Berlin plans to “develop co-operative agreements with group members American Airlines and Finnair.”
