Labor Day travel up in 2010

 

AAA reported Friday that Labor Day travel would be up in 2010 by almost 10 percent when compared to last year.

 

The North American motor club and leisure travel organization worked together with a Boston based economic research and consulting firm IHS Global Insight to compile the data that reveals roughly 34 million Americans will hit the road and take to the sky between Thursday September 2 and Monday September 6.

 

Last year nearly 31 million took traveled during Labor Day weekend. With more people on the go over the holiday, AAA is also reporting hotel and car rental bookings were up when compared to 2009.
