San Francisco is high up there on the list of many tourists’ top US attractions. Is it the weather? Could it be those quirky little cable cars? Perhaps by spending 24 hours in San Fran, you can capture the pure essence of this city. We do warn you, you'll probably want to book;cheap tickets, because a taste of San Francisco just isn't enough.

Do: Golden Gate Bridge

Can you blame us for going with the given and putting the Golden Gate Bridge as our must do while spending 24 hours in San Francisco? How can you not?  This iconic and beautiful landmark that connects San Francisco to California's northern counties is recognized for its burnt orange color, sweeping cables and long, elegant design. The bridge recently celebrated 75 years of existence which led to visitor enhancements and guided tours to help visitors to the Golden Gate Bridge.

 

Eat: Mission Chinese Food;

After all of the exploring you’ll do at the Golden Gate Bridge, you’ll work up quite an appetite. With the influence of Asian culture in its vibrant Chinatown neighborhood, why not indulge and yourself on a Mission to get Chinese Food. Oh! You can just go to Mission Chinese Food- a quaint, no reservations, budget friendly place to get Chinese Food. Their menu goes beyond your typical dishes like Chicken and Broccoli. Sample dishes include Beer Brined Sichuan pickles, Kung Pao Pastrami (Yum!) and Salt Cod Fried Rice.

 

Drink: Zeitgeist

The word Zeitgeist has a lot of meanings, including the age or spirit of the time. Take time to enjoy the San Francisco experience with locals at Zeitgeist: the bar. San Francisco is meant to be enjoyed outdoors; especially at this open-air beer garden featuring over 40 beers on tap. There is a full bar, kitchen and even a BBQ grill when you're hankering for some burgers and hot dogs. Ah, freedom is oh so good here at such a simple place.

  

Stay: Omni San Francisco Hotel
