It’s the city of love…or shall we say the city of endless desserts! Before you go ahead and book flights to Paris and start planning a trip, you should know the ins and outs of the best spots for superb pastries. Some Parisian pastry chefs are passionate to create some of the most delicious desserts in the world, and most of their pastries are decorated so beautifully you may hesitate to take the first bite, which means being overwhelmed with a variety of desserts is expected. With that said, we’ve created a brief list of ridiculously good looking tasty pastries and where to get them while strolling around Paris.

Chic Macarons at Ladurée

They may just be the most luxurious macarons you’ll ever lay your hands on. Ok, maybe not BUT you won’t regret grabbing flights to Paris to get to this French bakery, founded in 1862, who creates some of the most famous sandwich cookies in the world. It’s a pretty popular dessert choice these days — and if you don’t know, a macaron is a sandwich cookie made of different fillings (typically a flavored buttercream, ganache, or jam) and flavors (like vanilla, pistachio, coffee, etc.). Ladurée is popularly known for their variety of cute macarons with layers of flavoring. In addition to the marvelous desserts, the atmosphere and decor inside the bakery are so chic and trendy, it’s undoubtedly every social media lovers dream! The cafe has opened a number of locations in countries around the world but Paris was the first!

Famous Mont-Blanc at Angelina

A must try is the world famous Mont Blanc at this Parisian tea house. Thanks to this pastry, Angelina’s has continued to be one of the best since 1903. They’ve perfected the Mont Blanc dessert which is made of meringue, whipped cream, and chestnut cream vermicelli. At first glance, the pastry looks like a pile of chocolate spaghetti and is said to be heavenly. Angelina’s serves a variety of pastries as well as breakfast and lunch but their Mont Blanc is simply the finest on the menu. The tea house has an antique and romantic interior with French architecture and design, welcoming all to feel a warm and sophisticated atmosphere.
