Few things are more romantic than saying “I do” in the Caribbean. With sandy beaches, towering mountaintops and cascading waterfalls, it’s no wonder that Jamaica was recently ranked as one of the top ten islands in the world by TripAdvisor! No matter if you’re the kind of couple that prefers to hike up rocky cliffs in the blazing sun or if relaxing on the beach with a drink in hand is more your style, we’ve scouted out all the best spots to plan your dream destination wedding that will make your big day one for the books!

1. Montego Bay – For the Couple That Wants Their Reception to Last Forever

One of the most popular places to get married in Jamaica is Montego Bay (the island’s second largest city). There is no shortage of all-inclusive resorts in the area that will bend over backwards to make your day special. After saying your vows on one of Montego Bay’s famous white sand beaches, head into the city to soak up the vibrant nightlife and celebrate your first evening as a married couple. The next day, you and your guests can take advantage of the many activities Montego Bay has to offer, such as golf, kayaking, swimming, or simply relaxing on the beach with a fruity drink in your hand.

2. Runaway Bay – For the Couple That Doesn’t Want To Wander Far 😉

Located on the northern end of the island in St. Ann Parish, Runaway Bay is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful spots in the Caribbean. The scenic views provide the perfect backdrop for a memorable wedding, and there are plenty of all-inclusive resorts to help you make it all happen. There are many impressive sights to see in this area as well. Take some time to visit the nearby Green Grotto Caves, stunning limestone formations that are estimated to be nearly a half-million years old. Don’t miss the underground lake deep in the innermost cavern. The caves are only a mile away from a must-see historical site: the spot where Christopher Columbus landed in 1494. Once you’ve said “I do” and done some sightseeing, hit one of Runaway Bay’s beautiful beaches for some much deserved R&R.

Located in Ocho Rios, Mystic Mountain offers scenic views and experiences to remember. The park at the top of the mountain hosts a variety of festivals and events to celebrate Jamaica’s singular music, cuisine and culture. Rainforest Adventures offers “I Do at 700 Feet” wedding packages. Thrill-seeing couples can say their vows while flying through the treetops on the Sky Explorer (an open lift). If you prefer to be on solid ground when you commit to the love of your life, there’s also a beautiful nuptial lawn atop Mystic Mountain.

4. Dunn’s River Falls, Ocho Rios – For the #InstaFamous Couple

One of the most stunning natural sites in Jamaica is, without a doubt, Dunn’s River Falls. Many newly married couples have snapped photos in front of these cascading waterfalls. One of Jamaica’s fastest growing resort centers, Dunn’s River falls has just about everything you need for a beautiful destination wedding. Your guests will enjoy luxurious all-inclusive resorts, shopping, and lots of outdoor activities, including hiking and kayaking. The closest major city to Dunn’s Falls is Ocho Rios, a former fishing village that’s now a bustling tourist center (and, for all you Bachelor fans, the locale for Bachelor Ben’s three Fantasy Suite dates!).

5. Blue Mountain National Park – For the Couple That Came For Lush Views and Sunrise Hikes

If small guest houses and 4:00am wake up calls sound more like your cup of tea, turn your attention to the eastern side of the island where the towering Blue Mountain Peak awaits. The peak is the tallest on the isle, reaching a heart-pounding 7,402 feet at its highest point – and offering a stunning view of both the north and south coasts. You can stay at a handful of intimate guesthouses that are littered across the base of the 28-mile mountain range – but be sure to enlist the help of your hotel or a tour guide, as navigating around the region can be made difficult by narrow roads and heavy rains.
