British Airways Cabin Crew Strike CheapOair Staff March 20, 2010 general Thousands of British Airways’ cabin crew have official gone on strike. Employees walked off the job as of midnight Saturday and plan to take off for the remainder of the weekend. The strike will affect tends of thousands of passengers and is also planned for next weekend as well if both sides can not come to an agreement on a new contract. Unlike previous airline strikes that shut down all flights, BA is still going to run at 60 percent capacity since not all union members are planning to strike. As reported earlier, customers are eligible to get refunds or rebook flights as long as they are on the same route. If you are concerned that your flight might be affected, check out British Airways official website (www.BritishAirways.com) for up to the minute news and flight information.
