Virgin Blue is paying for a billion dollar upgrade

Virgin Blue is set to sign a deal with Boeing that will provide the Australian airline with up to 105 737 planes.

This is Boeing's biggest order in nearly two years and easily Virgin Blue's biggest purchase of air-crafts to date.

While Virgin is shelling out a whopping $8.4 billion for the order, the airline said that they were actually taking advantage of lower prices during a weak economy.

This is great news for Boeing as they continue to battle it out with airlplane making world supremacy with Europe's Airbus.
