The finishing touches are being put on the Cosmopolitan, which is a $3.9 billion resort and casino set to open in Las Vegas this December.   The 2,995 room property along the famed Strip will featured such amenities as 13 restaurants, a luxurious spa, nightclub, 150,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, retail stores and private terraces in each room (a first for a Las Vegas hotel). In addition, thrill seekers will want to visit the 40th floor which offers an open-air balcony overlooking the Strip.   But is that enough to get people back to the desert? Cosmopolitan CEO John Unwinsure believes so, as the layout of the Cosmopolitan is being described as “approachable elegance.”   In an interview with the Associated Press, Unwinsure said, “I think this really changes how a major casino-resort in Las Vegas is set up. It’s still big, but it’s not 15 minutes in terms of getting around the casino.”   So with the opening of the City Center and now the Cosmopolitan, are you more likely to visit Las Vegas to check them out?   Source: Associated Press
