A 6.4 preliminary year-over-year increase was reported by JetBlue. The company also reported a two percentage point rise in load factor to 81 percent, showing their effort to handle expansion and manage planes with more passengers.

The company’s preliminary traffic statistics grew by 9.1 percent. Its preliminary customer income per available seat mile – a measurement of money taken in for flying one passenger one mile- went up 17 percent.

During late night trading JetBlue shares were up 7.4 percent to 6.32 on the New York Exchange.
