BA wants to fly again

British Airways is one of the many European carriers investigating the air space with test flights in order to prove that it is safe to fly again. In a statement released Tuesday, the airline stated that they hope the data provided will convince the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to open up UK airspace again and allow British Airways and others to continue business as usual into and out of the United Kingdom.

BA has flown a few test flights, including one with CEO Willie Walsh on board, in order to prove that it is in fact safe to travel again. Airlines are losing millions per day, with many carriers like UK based easyJet already requesting assistance from the British Government.
