Tips on Lookin’ Your Best While Traveling CheapOair Staff April 21, 2010 general Look good while you travel without over-packing Let’s face it, looking good feels good. When we’re home, presenting ourselves in an attractive manner is easy. We’ve got our hair and skin products, wardrobe, bathroom mirror, etc. Traveling creates somewhat of a beauty obstacle for us. We’re out of our element, away from our comforts, and we’re limited when it comes to supplies. The following tips were created in order to keep you looking great while you’re traveling. Hair: Hair is an important part of our appearance. You can be rockin’ a fabulous outfit and if your hair doesn’t look good, everything else seems to fall flat. If your mane requires product, buy a few travel sized containers to fill up with your favorite shampoo, conditioner, and styling product. There’s no reason to deprive your tresses in the name of travel. You can also purchase a travel sized hair-dryer so that the one from home doesn’t take up space in your luggage. Pack a hat for those days when all else fails. Skin: Traveling can destroy your skin. To keep your skin looking healthy you must drink a ton of water. Dehydrated skin looks dead. You’ll also find that when you’re traveling a little bit of exfoliation and moisture go a long way. Fill up a few travel sized bottles with a nice exfoliate, and a moisturizer. These two things will do wonders, especially if you’re out in the sun a lot. A nice toner may also help you out. Clothing: You definitely don’t want to over-pack, but you want to make sure that you have at least one outfit that rises above casual and that you feel absolutely wonderful in. If you’re backpacking, a majority of your clothes will revolve around comfort and practicality but make sure you have at least one special item that you can dress up and go out on the town in. Diet: One of the best aspects of travel is trying new and interesting dishes and we’d never recommend that you deprive yourself of that, but don’t overdo it. Otherwise, you’ll feel awful in your clothing and sluggish energy wise. Hygiene: If you look great and smell horrible, you’re not going to be turning many heads. Well, you might but it won’t be a positive. Carry around a travel-sized deodorant, toothbrush, and paste. This will keep you feeling (and smelling) fresh. Remember that when it comes down to it your experiences are the most important part of your journey. If you’re feeling great and having a grand time, then that’s what matters most.
