Delta to add new Osaka and Bejing flights from Seattle

Delta Airlines announced Tuesday that it got the green light from the Chinese government to allow them to start a new Seattle-Beijing route on June 4.

The new service will be offered five times a
week and provide customers with connecting options from cities in Delta and codeshare
partner Alaska Air’s network to Beijing via Alaska’s Seattle location.

The Atlanta based carrier also announced today new nonstop flights between Seattle and Osaka, Japan beginning June 7. The news of these two new routes comes a week after Delta added more flights from New York City to London, Milan and Moscow.

Delta is currently the world’s largest airline, but will soon lose that title once the impending Continental-United merger goes through later this year.
