American Airlines continues to inspect more Boeing 767’s

American Airlines is examining 56 of its Boeing 767 jets after cracks were identified on at least two planes.

Spokesperson of American Airlines, Tim Wagner, said Tuesday the cracks were uncovered in the pylons that attach the engines to the wings on one plane during regular maintenance, and that sparked the general inspection of all planes with the same type of part.

Wagner says 54 planes had been examined by Monday. The other two were to be inspected Monday night, but Wagner didn’t have confirmation of the completion of those inspections.

Wagner says American Airlines has sent on of the cracked pylons to an outside company for testing.
