Checking a bag these days when flying can be expensive and apparently some people will go to extremes when they’re told to do so. Thursday afternoon Los Angeles International Airport officials had to remove a 60-year-old woman from a plane after she became irate and began to “scuffle” with an officer.

The woman was furious after being told that her over-sized carry-on bag needed to be checked before the Frontier Airlines flight could depart.  The woman refused to get out of her seat for airport security and when they attempted to remove her she scratched the officer’s neck and face.

The woman, who has been identified
as Bickham Linda McWright, was arrested for investigation of
misdemeanor battery on a peace officer and remains in jail Friday on
$20,000 bail.
