Hawaiian Airlines announced Thursday that it will soon start offering new service to South Korea as part of its expansion into the Asia market. It also makes sense (and cents) for the carrier to cash in on the large amount of Korean travelers that visit Hawaii each year.

Hawaiian Airlines President and CEO Mark Dunkerley said flights between the Aloha State and Korea’s main airport Incheon should start in early 2011. Tickets will go on sale later this summer with flights available four days a week.

Dunkerely said Incheon will be a key hub for Hawaiian as it will make it easily accessible for customers to travel to and from other nations including China.
