Air Canada announced Wednesday that they will start offering daily, non-stop flights between Toronto and New Orleans beginning October 30, 2010. The new route will feature Executive and Economy class seating as well as personal audio-visual entertainment onboard.

Speaking on behalf of the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau, Stephen Perry had this to say on the arrival of Air Canada to the Crescent City: "There is a special relationship between Canadian travelers and New Orleans, making Canada our number one international market. "With the return of Air Canada, we will see this relationship strengthen and grow. We are grateful for this partnership, and we look forward to welcoming additional Canadian travelers to experience the rich culture and history of New Orleans."

The addition of New Orleans is just another part of the expansion of Air Canada's flight offerings. Air Canada also added four new international destinations from Toronto with the launch this summer of flights to Athens and Barcelona, non-stop flights to Copenhagen, and same-plane year-round service to Brussels via Montreal.
