After a day of strikes, air travel is back to normal in France according to air traffic controllers. 

With employees going back to work, carriers like Air France stated their flights were operating as scheduled. 

Yesterday hundreds of flights were grounded and small hubs were closed due to air traffic controllers walking off the job due to being upset over control of European air space being unified. 

According to the Associated Press, "the Single European Sky project is meant to ensure greater efficiency across
European air borders and deal with projected traffic increases."

However workers are worried it will mean less jobs and eventual layoffs. If the plan goes through, the traffic systems will be downsized from 27 to nine airports.
