US Airways announced Monday that it will be adding more service to New York City, including flights from seven East Coast cities to LaGuardia Airport.

We reported last week how the Big Apple is on track to welcome a record amout of visitors in 2010, so more flights would seem like a good idea.

New offerings would include flights between New York and Hartford, Ct., as well as New York and Harrisburg, Pa. According to the airline, neither currently have non-stop service to LaGuardia.

New cities flying to NYC include Asheville, NC; Columbia, SC; Greenville-Spartanburg, SC; Washington Dulles and Lexington, KY. Meanwhile service between Laguardia and Charleston, NC, Columbis, OH and Syracuse, NY will see more flights added. All flight additions and expansions begin on October 31.
