Newseum remembers Hurricane Katrina
 
 

Five years after Hurricane Katrina destroyed much of the Gulf Coast region, Washington DC's Newseum will remembering the disaster with a one-year exhibit on how the media covered the epic event. 

 

 

The Newseum, which is a museum spotlighting news and the First Amendment, will display objects saved by news reporters and about 80 front page newspaper stories from around the world. 

 

The Newseum Katrina exhibit opens Friday.
