Another BA strike possible next week

The Unite union is prepared to strike yet again if the latest round of peace talks with British Airways go nowhere.

According to Reuters, a Unite union spokeswoman said new strike ballots were "always an option" and that a meeting is scheduled for Monday September 6 in the southern town of Kemptown, England. 

The seemingly never ending dispute started over BA cutting crew members wages and firing staff. However, since the airline took away travel perks from striking workers, it has escalated the bitter feud to a whole new nasty level. 

To date the numerous strikes orchestrated by Unite has cost the carrier $231 million USD (150 million pounds). Unite is hoping to meet with BA management by early next week, but not official meeting has been set up yet.

The last offer from British Airways was rejected last month by the nearly 12,000 cabin crew members.
