Alaska Airlines reported a 10 percent increase in traffic for the month of August, with capacity up 7.1 percent for the Seattle-based carrier. 

 

Due to the increase, Alaska saw a 2.2 percent jump in their load factor, with planes flying at around 86.5 percent full according to a company statement. 

 

The airline also reported 88.7 percent of their flights arrived on time in August, up three percent from the same time period a year ago.
