Google Earth gets competition with China's Map World

China and Google have been battling back and forth over privacy concerns after a serious hacking attack prompted Google to remove its search engine from China.

So China has decided to do away with trying to work with Google and instead created its own Google Earth software called "Map World."

The mapping service is suppose to compete with Google's popular feature according to the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping, which unveiled "Map World" on Thursday.

Although Google has not applied for a web mapping license in China yet, many citizens can access the feature on their computers.
