Delta Air Lines reported their fifth month in a row for traffic growth as the Atlanta-based carrier reported an 8.6 percent increase in system-wide traffic.

Delta's capacity also jumped 9.5 percent last month, however load factor, which measures how full a plane is, dropped 0.7 points.

Domestic traffic was up 6.4 percent and international traffic rose 13 percent. Delta flew 14,122,498 passengers last month, up 6.3 percent when compared October 2009.
