In another sign that air travel is on the rebound, low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways reported an 11.7 percent increase in November traffic when compared to the same time a year ago.

Passenger revenue per seat mile available jumped a whopping 10 percent when compared to 2009 figures. That increase is mostly due to airlines raising fares to make a stronger profit due to a weak couple of years.

The report comes just 24-hours after the New York based carrier said holiday travel prices were coming up short of their expectations and that fourth-quarter revenue per passenger would be weaker than expected.

With JetBlue's traffic rising faster than capacity, November's average flight was 80.9 percent full, compared with 77.4 percent a year ago.
