It's during those times that most travelers really have a hankering for a good airport lounge and a cold drink. Thus, we've come up with five of the best airport lounges from around the world. The Pier Lounge, Hong Kong International Airport Cathay Pacific has made a name for itself for its plush amenities and features that often put it head and shoulders over many airlines. The Asian airlines has gone even further with several luxurious lounges in the Hong Kong International Airport. The lounge is the biggest of Cathy Pacific's lounges and is a great spot for a long layover, as it allows guests to pick up hot food and drinks, reading material, or do work with its WiFi access. British Airways Concorde Room, Heathrow International Airport Heathrow is known for their many great airport lounges, with the innovative British Airways Concorde Room at the top of that list. Located in terminal 5, the lounge is somewhat of a hotel in and of itself. Offering all-day dining and drinks, the lounge also offers private cabana rooms with their own beds and bathrooms. Independent Sumaq VIP Lounge, Lima International Airport As the name suggests, this lounge services passengers from several airlines, and not just one, like so many major airlines often do. For those guests who get tired of being cooped up inside all day at the airport, there's the outdoor courtyard, which is a nice change of pace. The main part of the lounge is split up between a bar, lounge, and restaurant. Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge, Singapore International Airport The SilverKris Lounge is ideal for the business traveler on the go. Though very chic, it also offers WiFi throughout the lounge and big screen plasma televisions. While it doesn't feature a full restaurant, travelers can enjoy pastries, coffee, tea, beer and wine, and other foods. Air France Premiere Lounge, Paris' Charles de Gaulle International Airport It's only appropriate that Air France would have the best lounge in Charles de Gaulle, since this is their home base. A favorite among travelers are the on-site masseuses, which offer massages to members. Visitors are treated like celebrities here, with special escorts, red carpet, and more.
