JetBlue Unveils New Employee-Designed Tailfin CheapOair Staff February 16, 2011 general Employee Troy Bokosky’s winning “Building Blocks” design After more than 30,000 public votes were tallied, the winning design for JetBlue’s Crewmember Tailfin Design Contest was unveiled yesterday at Long Beach airport in California. Troy Bokosky’s “Building Blocks” design was revealed in a red-carpet ceremony attended my family, friends, fellow employees, and JetBlue customers. So where did the inspiration for the winning design come from? Bokosky, who studied Art and Graphic Design in college, said he wanted to create something that would “look good as a tie with my uniform.” Funky tailfins are nothing new for JetBlue which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2010. The budget carrier just last week unveiled a unique ‘I Heart Blue York,’ tailfin in conjunction with New York State’s tourism board. Source: PRNewswire
