Wynn Las Vegas Nearing Completion of $99 Million Upgrade CheapOair Staff February 28, 2011 general The young Wynn Las Vegas is already receiving a facelift The Wynn Las Vegas is just over five years old, but Wynn Resorts CEO Steve Wynn and his workers are already nearing completion of a $99 million upgrade to the 2,700-room resort. The “renovate early and often” strategy is one that has been used by Wynn for years, first at the Golden Nugget and now at The Wynn Las Vegas. Wynn Design and Development Executive Vice President Roger Thomas recently explained the rationale behind the strategy, saying, “We like to stay ahead of the game. We have a lot of repeat guests and getting them into a different room is a way of honoring them, I think.” Every room at the Wynn has undergone a drastic make-over, with carpet and drapes replaced, bathrooms resurfaced, and furniture refurbished or replaced completely. Renovations are now complete in the Wynn’s Resort Tower and are nearly 60 percent finished in the facility’s AAA Five Diamond-rated Tower Suites. Source: Las Vegas Sun
