 Future Scene at Al Maktoum Airport

It was announced Sunday that the opening for the passenger terminal of Dubai’s new airport has been pushed back until 2012.


It was reported by Reuters that they are adding larger aircrafts to lead to higher passenger numbers.


The airport, which is named Al Maktoum Airport, is expected to cost around $34 billion.


Paul Griffiths, the chief executive of Dubai airports, expects to have a 160 million people traveling through the airport annually.


The opening was all ready delayed until the last quarter of 2011 in March.
