When it opened its doors on Tuesday, The Ritz-Carlton inside of Hong Kong’s International Commerce Center officially became the world’s highest hotel.

Located 1,600 feet above street level in the city’s tallest skyscraper, the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong offers stunning panoramic views of the famous Victoria Harbor.

Amenities inside the 312-room hotel include the world’s highest bar, a top-floor swimming pool with an enormous ceiling-mounted LCD TV, and one of the largest ballrooms in Hong Kong.

Although the title of “world’s highest” is impressive, it is likely short-lived. The hotel could be dethroned as early as 2014 with the opening of the J-Hotel in mainland China’s Shanghai Tower.
