Five Tasty Airport Restaurants CheapOair Staff April 8, 2011 Air Travel, Travel Tips Airport food can actually taste good Finding food at the airport can be a challenge. First of all, because of the high prices that often aren't justified considering the quality. But also, because of availability. Unless you're at a large international airport, your options can be lacking. However, we found a few great airport restaurants to consider for upcoming trips. Legal Sea Foods – Boston: It's not typical that you'll find a seafood restaurant at the airport, and a good one at that, but that's what you'll find at Boston's Logan International Airport. If you're leaving from vacation in Boston, this is a good final seafood restaurant for lunch or dinner. As you might expect, you'll be paying a little bit more than your typical airport restaurant. Plane Food Restaurant – London: We had to put at least one international restaurant on this list, and it should come as no surprise that it would be at one of the world's largest airports. What may be of surprise, however, is that this is a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. That makes it the most expensive restaurant on this list. You'll probably only be dining here if you're on a long layover. However, if you do decide to dine, get here long before you're ready to eat, as the wait can be long. Garduno's Chile Packing Company and Cantina – Albuquerque: What's unique about Garduno's is that it's a local establishment, which is rarely the case at an airport. The restaurant features fresh Mexican entrees and all the chips and salsa you can eat. It's also not a bad place for a margarita to calm your nerves before boarding your flight. Brookwood Farms BBQ – Charlotte: You simply can't come to North Carolina and not have barbecue. Brookwood Farms is actually rated as one of the best barbecue restaurants in the south and is a great introduction to North Carolina's famous barbecue. Make sure you order some of their fresh cornbread with your meal. Five Guys Burgers and Fries – Multiple Locations: Five Guys is the one wildcard on this list. You probably didn't expect to see what is comparable to a fast food burger joint. Five Guys is actually consistently rated as one of the top burgers in America, and boasts tasty, greasy fries to go with it. You'll find it at a few different airports, including Dulles in Washington, D.C. and LaGuardia in New York City.
