Caesars wishes to expand its presence overseas

Hotel and casino giant Caesars Entertainment Corp. has announced a new unit to develop hotels and restaurants that will not be associated with casinos.

Over the past few years, many casino operators have seen an uptake in revenue from hotel and restaurant arms.

Caesars said it will use the unit to expand its overseas presence, especially in Asia and Latin America. Non-gaming properties are also planned in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.

Earlier this year, Caesars announced a partnership with restaurant operator Nobu Matsuhisa to develop a Nobu brand hotel at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
