Officials in Italy Revoke Permits for “Jersey Shore” Cast CheapOair Staff May 10, 2011 general Jersey Shore's trip to Italy is again on hold The cast of MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore’ got a bit of bad news this past weekend. No, MTV hasn’t started testing for steroids. Instead, the tanned and toned bunch learned that many of their permits for filming the next season of Jersey Shore in Florence, Italy had been revoked. Already banned from being filmed drinking in public, the crew was told this weekend that they would be barred from filming at many of Florence’s most famous landmarks. Italian officials pulled the plug at the last minute, just as most of the cast began catching Italy-bound flights. MTV, aware that no public drinking and no exterior shots of Italy would leave them with about 12 minutes of air-able footage, decided to delay the beginning of the shoot until new permits can be worked out.
