Smithsonian to Display Sept. 11 Materials CheapOair Staff June 16, 2011 general Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History Over 50 items from three Sept. 11 locations will be displayed at Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. The showcase will be available from Sept. 3rd to Sept.11th in Washington. Government officials declared the museum the official repository for all of the Sept. 11 remnants for permanent preservation. Some of the items to appear will be airplane fragments, items from Pentagon offices and a door from a destroyed New York fire truck. Source: Wall Street Journal
