Las Vegas’ Plaza Hotel and Casino is gearing up to re-open after closing in November for an extensive renovation project.

Following $35 million worth of improvements, the 1,000 room Plaza Hotel will begin accepting guests again on September 1. The casino will re-open shortly before that in the latter part of August.

Many of the hotel and casino’s new marble floors, furniture, and accessories were purchased from the defunct Fontainebleau Las Vegas project on the Strip. Work there was suspended because of cost concerns.
