Virgin Atlantic Virgin Atlantic pilots are not pleased with their latest deal and are planning to walk off the job. Sir Richard Branson is pleading with the pilots to not do so as it would leave "an indelible scar on the company."

The strike dates could be announced as early as Tuesday from Balpa, the pilots' union, unless both sides resolve a pay dispute.  Members of Balpa voted to strike after they received a four percent pay raise following numerous pay freezes.

The airline defends the raise, stating the offer is double the national average, and comes with a share of the company's profits. Branson said he was "extremely sad" with his pilots about possibly walking off the job. He would like to meet with them privately to discuss matters.

About the new deal, Branson was quoted saying, "I have looked at the details of your offer and
believe it is fair. From the company’s point of view possibly a little
too fair." Stay tuned…
