Each year over over 40,000 individual shlells light up the night sky over the East or Hudson Rivers. The impressive show is one of the most well-known fireworks displays in the world and has become a staple of the Independence Day celebration for millions of Americans. This year the Hudson River will once again host the display, with hundreds of thousands of spectators expected to line the shores of New York and New Jersey to take in the show. Millions more will be watching live as the entire display will be broadcast on NBC.
